Ship time is 0342. I am awake due to some of the injuries sustained on my final operation with special forces. There is pain around my prosthetic eye that I was told may occur, and it has. The analgesics in my supplies will not be be adequate. I shall certainly make time to visit the infirmary during more conventional hours, as the pain is not of a magnitude that would encompass urgent or emergency.
More and more I find my lack of manyVulcan disciplines to be inconvenient and difficult. Perhaps I should consider myself fortunate that I was not born as a male; otherwise pon farr would most likely have killed me. The human part of me has experienced similar (albeit to a much lesser intensity) others to engage in mating protocols. The majority of humans have engaged in mating protocols prior to reaching my age and many have found humor in the fact that I have not. Have I not found a suitable partner for these activities, or is my lack of activities causing me to desire such activities? I may discuss with medical staff about methods of preventing such feelings of desire, although previous conversations on the subject were brief and often ended with suggestions to consume alcoholic beverages and "cut loose". Sometimes I feel that the brief amount of time I have been able to devote to studies in Vulcan disciplines has rendered me "boring" as some have stated. I may need to learn more about the activities referred to as "girls night".
