Mission: Enforced Intermission
Location: Main Engineering

Walking out of Calvin's quarters, Ashe cast a glance at Linza before giggling. "Well, that caught him off guard didn't it?" she said with a laugh before walking to the nearest console on the bulkhead. "Right, lets try this again shall we?" She tapped at the console, arranging another site to site transport. "Raging Deity, here we come!" she exclaimed, linking her arm through Linza's again.

The familiar tingle of the transporter overtook them, only this time it still wasn't The Raging Deity they appeared in when they rematerialized, it was, judging by the giant blue lava lamp just a foot or so from Linza's side, right in the middle of Main Engineering.

"Oh, this isn't good," Ashe murmured as she glanced at Linza.

No sooner had she spoken, an alarm started to sound, red strip lighting flashing around the room that strobbed against the blue light, casting an eerie glow around them. "Sorry friend, looks like that drink might have to wait," she said before turning her attention back to the angry engineers that were rapidly approaching them.

The most imposing of the engineers was a large Caitian that looked like it had evolved from the earth's black panther species, his turquoise green eyes glinting in the red lights of the alarm. "Halt!" The large cat said as its ears laid back against his skull and his tail bristled and moved agitatedly.

Looking around after the transporter, Linza swore under her breath. "Of all the...Ashe! I only have civ access!" She jumped a bit at the voice and turned to see the Caitian engineer. "I know I'm not supposed to be here...not sure about here. I apologize, Lieutenant." She didn't want any trouble. "Transporter issue."

Ashe grinned at the Caitian, flicked her rainbow coloured hair back over her shoulder, and waved. "I think the transporters took a wrong turn somewhere between deck two and deck five." She ducked under the barricade around the warp core. "Sorry about that," she said and smiled. "You're new aren't you? I don't think I've seen you in the Deity. I'm Ashe, and this is my friend Linza."

The Caitian waved the other engineers back to work before turning back to the two intruders. "And where were you two going that required unauthorized site to site transport?" The Caitian asked, his ears remained laid back and his tail twitched. He looked from one to the other.

"The turbolifts stopped working. We were trying to get back to the ships lounge," Ashe explained, a little perplexed. "I'm sorry, I know we aren't meant to be here, but we didn't do it on purpose," she offered.

"We seriously didn't. I was given specific orders for civvy access only." Lin bit her lip. "We weren't getting anywhere with the bloody turbolifts other than more places were weren't supposed to be." She glanced around, "Though...I am curious if anyone did get my report of malfunctions in my quarters..."

"I'm C'Tirr K'Ruuras, assistant Chief engineer. I should have been alerted to turbolift malfunctions." His tail twitched in agitation as he read the reports that by now we're pouring in from various places on the ship. He let out a growl as his ears laid against his skull. "What was the nature of the malfunction in your quarters miss Linza and about what time did they occur?" He hissed the S's as he spoke.

"Errr...um...I can't remember the time I reported it," Linza stated, as she barely knew what time it was to begin with. "But, tried to get coffee with cream and sugar, ended up with something green I believe before letting that vanish and getting something that was nearly what I asked for. Very light sugar and cream, and I hate plain coffee." She thought for a moment, "Then information I had on a PADD vanished as I was reading it over. I had backups which were still there, but the PADD itself was acting brand new."

"The turbolift, both times we asked to go to the Raging Deity, the first time it took us to the fighter hangar and the second time it took us to torpedo storage," Ashe interjected. "And the holographic matrices in the Deity are malfunctioning. It's really unfortunate, unfortunately I have no seating, not that anyone is objecting, thankfully my alcohol is real," she followed up with a grin.

"Non vital system malfunction repairs have been put on hold until we reach earth. We are currently concentrating on key system repairs. The replicators have been acting up all over and numerous other issues have happened. If one of my engineers is willing to assist in their off time, then they are welcome to." C'Tirr stated. He raised a furred hand, the tips of sheathed claws could barely be seen through his black fur, to stall any questions are comments. "The turbolift issue will be taken care of as soon as we can get them."

C'Tirr looked each of them in the eye, his ears were rotated forward and his tail stayed still. "I suggest you do not try to use the site to site transporters again though. If they are acting up to, your biological matter could be lost in the transporter buffers or worse, you could materialize in a bulk head or even in space. Stick with the turbolift and if it opens into an area your not suppose to be, stay on it and try again. You do this and I won't say a word to the Captain." His stern face changed when he suddenly smiled a toothy smile, his sharp pointed teeth showing.

"The claws don't scare me," Linza said with a smirk, "Had much worse than you after me before." She giggled. "But thank you for looking into it when you have time, and not getting me in trouble..."

Ashe held up her hands in defeat. "You'll get NO arguments from me! I mean, knowing our luck, next time we'll end up knee deep in the ships sewerage or something equally gross" she wrinkled up her nose. "We can use jefferies tubes though, right?"

Linza hadn't dealt with jefferies tubes in a long time. "I'm assuming as long as we go straight to our destination?"

"That is a negative as Jefferies tubes are for emergency use and maintenance only. Not for daily traffic. If everyone used them then when something goes wrong, more casualties and longer repair times." C'Tirr stated. He kinda liked these two. "Come, I shall escort you to your destination. I'm about off for now and could use a drink." He motioned for them to precede him to the main turbo lift. "Besides, need to test the turbolifts." He smiled.

"Ashe? What do you think?" Linza had no issues, but really now wanted that drink.

Ashe laughed. "Tell you what, Lieutenant K'Ruuras, if you can get us there, the drinks are on me! Shall we?"

"After you." C'tirr said as he motioned for them to precede him. He escorted them to the turbolift but before he could get on with them there was a boom, sparks and a yell from deeper into Engineering. "I'll have to take a rain check on those drinks. I think I'll be pulling over time today." He set the turbolift orders manually and stepped back. He waved to them as the doors closed and he walked back, cursing in Caitian.
