Sticky and Sweet

Mission: War and Peacekeeping
Aleksi had been drumming his fingers on the arm of his couch, eyes bouncing between the art on his wall and to the clock. He had every intention of being punctual, which he never was. His behavior could be seen as odd, usually expecting flag officers to wait on him. That being said he wasn't hoping to steal a kiss from an admiral.
The clock struck ten minutes to midnight, telling him that he needed to get rolling. He had no idea, no plan for how tonight was going to unfold and planned on bringing a nice bottle of vodka and his charming ways. In less than 5 minutes, what felt like an eternity, he made his way into the lounge, scoping out the local drunk population he'd need to help rustle out.
Ashe had already been working on working on removing the last of the stopouts when she saw Aleksi walk in. She cast a quick smile in his direction. "Alright boys, that's it, you're out!" she said with a laugh. "That's my ride home so I need to lock up. Off you go!"
With a grumble the last few patrons left the bar, leaving Aleksi and Ashe alone. "Computer, lock the doors," Ashe said with a smile. "I won't be too long, I just need to tidy up here."
"Perhaps we can speed things up," Setting the bottle down he closed the distance between them. His face was beaming, happy to see her again. Really he was glad she decided he was worth her time, "Give me a broom or rag, I'm not opposed to some cleaning."
"I don't need to do a whole lot, Marielle comes in in the morning before I open and does the bulk of the tidying and cleaning, I just didn't want anyone else coming in and interrupting us," she said with a coy smile. "Can I get you a drink?"
Aleksi chuckled, taking a seat at the bar, "Something... surprising," He watched her as she worked, "Busy night? People panicking about the end of their world?"
Pouring him a double shot of the new vodka she had just put on the shelf that night, she added a shot for herself before she slid the glass toward him. "You know, I always thought that once the ship hit yellow alert it was time for everyone to toddle off home... apparently here it just means drink more." She laughed softly. "I'm glad to see you though."
"Like any sort of traffic symbol, yellow means slamming on the accelerator," Aleksi lifted his glass, his smile saying he was equally glad to see her. Since he had left earlier his thoughts hadn't strayed far from her curly rainbow locks, "What shall we drink to kotyonok?"
"How about a night that is yet to begin?" she said with a smile, holding her shot glass up. "So are you off for the night? No sudden call outs? No running away to tend to the other women in your life?"
"I will definitely drink to that," He tapped his glass against hers before taking half the glass down. Setting it down he chuckled, "Unless someone tries to kill us I'm all yours tonight. And I'd be a fool to have another woman when you're on board."
"Damn straight," Ashe replied with a grin as she leaned toward him over the bar. "I don't like to share, not even a little bit," she said as she downed her drink. "So it's me and me alone, or nothing. The choice, of course, is entirely yours," she finished as she poured a new drink for herself and topped his up. "So what's it gonna be?"
"I love a decisive woman," There were many qualities about Ashe that he liked, and he learned about more of them every-time they talked, "It's looks like you're stuck with me, loose bolts and all."
"Oh loose bolts I can handle, I know how to wield a wrench. It's in my quarters, want to come and see?" Ashe asked with a grin as she downed her second drink.
Aleksi slammed his drink down, "I'd be happy to. Be warned, I'm not the most compliant of patients."
"Computer, turn out the lights in the bar area and secure the storage area." She smiled as she put the bottle of vodka back in the cold storage. "Really? Any particular things that really push your buttons that I should be aware of?" Ashe asked as she rounded the bar and approached him.
His smirk grew as the lights dimmed around them, "Inflicting any real pain. I can take it but I'm no fan of giving it," He took her hands, "And I'm pretty good at wriggling out of restraints."
As she stopped in front of him, she lightly raking one long, bright purple fingernail down the side of his face. "Rest assured," she said with a wicked grin. "I don't enjoy giving or receiving pain... but don't take that as weakness, and rest assured, if I decide I want to tie you up, you're NOT getting out,' she said with a wicked grin as she looked at him.
His body shuddered as her fingernail moved across his face, closing his eyes, "Don't tempt me with a good time," He chuckled, his hand moving to her face, "I may just take you up on that offer."
With a smile, Ashe pulled away and stood up straight, holding one hand toward him. "Come on Romeo, time for you to sweep me off my feet," she said lightly. "Walk be back to my quarters?"
Standing up he took her hand, planning on doing just that, even if it killed him, "That's why I'm here isn't it?" He moved one step closer to whisper in her ear, making sure his breath blew over the hairs on the back of her neck "Lead the way madame."
Ashe leaned her head back slightly, shivering just a little at the feel of his breath on her skin. Without speaking, she started walking toward the door, his arms around her as they moved. "Computer, seal the lounge on my voice print," she said calmly as they walked through the doors. "My quarters are down a few decks, that whole I'm just a civilian thing," she said with a smile. "So you've got that long to romance me Romeo."
"I think I can manage that," And if he couldn't that would be the universes sign to him that he needed to retire and join the clergy. Still, the chase was half the game and one he found most stimulating. Walking her down the corridor, "Whipped cream or warm honey?"
"Does it have to be one or the other?" Ashe asked as they stepped into the turbolift, headed straight to the back and leaned against the wall. "They both can be lots of fun, you know, in the right circumstances."
"Decisive, my kind of woman," He approached her as the doors closed behind him, placing his left hand against the bulkhead. Leaning in to her he smiled, "I suppose it's fortunate that we both have a sweet tooth."
With a coy smile on her face, she turned toward him, rising up onto the toes of her heeled boots to whisper into his ear. "You may have the sweet tooth, but I'm the one that likes to bite," she murmured softly.
As the doors of the turbolift opened behind her, Ashe turned and sashayed out of the lift, heading down the hall toward her quarters, knowing full well that he would be following her.
"Definitely my sort of woman," Aleksi laughed quietly to himself, biting his lip. Pushing himself from the bulkhead he turned in time to catch her hips swinging. With no hesitation he followed her out of the lift, just as she predicted. Placing his hand on the small of her back, his voice quiet, "Don't make promises you don't intend to keep."
"Do you doubt my integrity?" Ashe asked rounding on him as she walked backward, one eyebrow raised as she stared at him, a smile dancing across her lips.
"Not at all kotyonok," Aleksi smirked, enjoying the sassy attitude she was taking. A playfulness twinkled in his eyes, "I'm just hoping you aren't concerned about cavities."
With a laugh, Ashe stopped in front of her quarters, keying in her access code and waiting as the doors slid open before she stepped inside, waiting for him to join her. "So what did you have in mind?" she asked, with a raised eyebrow.
His eyes went to the couch, a smile on his lips, "I was thinking a few stiff drinks, a short conversation on that couch with rather obvious innuendos all while being taunted be a can of whipped cream and warm jar of honey on the table to start with. From there, well," His grin grew a little devilish, "We'll see."
Ashe laughed. "I'll tell you what, drinks are in the cupboard under the replicator, there's a pretty good selection so take your pick. I'm gonna go slip into something a little more comfortable, okay?" she said with a wink as she started toward the bedroom.
He looked at her, as if he had a question on the tip of his tongue. If he had one he held it, at the very least he'd get a drink out of this, "Will do."
Going to the replicator after pouring himself a bourbon, deciding that he could at least start warming up the honey. The actual honey wasn't an issue, in fact it came in an unexpectedly nice little jar and spoon combo. The little stand and tea candle weren't issues either, it was the matches. Apparently the child-locking his eternal tormentor had implemented followed him here and didn't let him replicate any fire starting materials.
Patting himself down he did not in fact have his lighter on him, his eyes searched frantically for some source of flame. Sure he could use a simple heating bad, but there was no aesthetics to that. Finally deciding on the stove, which was electric, but could get out enough to light the wick. Starting the stove it didn't really occur to him just how much effort he was putting into this exercise. After what felt like ages, the wick finally lit just as the door to Ashe's bedroom opened.
Noticing the smell from the stove and the newly lit candle, Ashe smiled slightly. "Kitchen drawers, left most drawer, matches, lighters, candles, and everything," she said with a smile. "All you had to do was ask darlin'."
"And where would the fun in that be?" He chuckled, turning off the stove and set the candle underneath the jar. Men were not the most rational of creatures when playing the mating game. Going back to the bottle on the counter he grinned, "On the rocks or straight up?"
"Straight up," she replied with a grin as she walked up to him. "Do I look like some kind of girl?" Her voice was light but there was a definite challenging tone there if he cared to hear it. "So, what shall we toast to?"
"Not at all," He flashed a toothy grin at her question, leaving the obvious answer unspoken. He took his glass up, "To warm honey and warmer relations."
Ashe smiled as she took a sip of her drink before she sank down onto the couch, sighing gratefully. "I was starting to think that today would never end," she said with a laugh. "Everyone has been a bit on edge, and with Commander Laurens deciding to shut down the mess, the lounge has been busier than ever.
“You can say that again,” Aleksi took the spot next to her, taking a long drink of the whiskey, “I almost forgot what it was like to work with normal people, it’s so…” He smirked, looking at her, “Predictable, boring, infuriating. I guess that’s why I look forward to time with you, at the very least I can be honest.”
"Flattery gets you everywhere," Ashe said with a laugh as she relaxed on the couch, crossing her legs zen style and turning so she was sitting sideways on the couch facing him. "I don't think it'll take too long for this mission to be over, I mean, even with the new Trions onboard everyone seems to be behaving and we are only a few days out from the colony now."
"Be careful what you say, you may bring a curse upon this land," He leaned on the arm of the couch to get a better view of her, a smile on his lips, "I like the optimism, I may have to try it some day."
"Ah, well, see, I have every reason to be optimistic, even if I have brought a curse on the ship, it's not MY problem to deal with it," she said with a grin as she leaned toward him, tapping a finger lightly on his chest. "That... would be entirely up to you to resolve."
He took her hand in his, grinning, "You're not getting off that easily, what if I need a beautiful woman to sing Gregorian chants while I read from the sacred texts?"
She laughed easily as she leaned toward him. "Then we're all out of luck. I don't sing," Ashe replied lightly.
He wrapped his arms around her, "In that case at least my last memories will be pleasant," His smile was easy, "A man who can't dance and a woman who can't sing. What a pair we make."
"There are plenty of other ways to have fun," Ashe replied with a grin. "And the night is young, we have plenty of time to find out."
