Personal History Alam-ira-xaval Sovalix, known as Mirax (pronounced 'Meer-Azh) was born as a scion of a lost age, while technically a cousin of the sitting Emperor (the figurehead of the Constitutional Monarchy after Fenria joined the Federation), the truth was that the power the family held once had faded long before. Wealth was never a factor and she, along with her nine siblings, had the best education possible. Mirax was always a rather independent creature, constantly going out on her own adventures in the wild on her own.

Mirax entered Starfleet Academy at eighteen with a presence that immediately set her apart. Her expressive ears and tails made her emotions impossible to hide, but instead of hindering her, that honesty quickly became her greatest strength. Cadets trusted her instinctively, and instructors noted how naturally she connected with others. She gravitated toward scientific studies that involved living systems and behavior, excelling in classes that rewarded observation, intuition, and pattern recognition. By the time she reached her final year, Mirax had become known as a perceptive, steady cadet whose emotional clarity anchored her peers during stressful training.

After graduation, Mirax received her first posting aboard the USS Calliope, a small exploration vessel assigned to short‑range planetary surveys. The ship’s science team quickly recognized her talent for reading environmental cues and interpreting the behavior of unfamiliar organisms. Mirax became a reliable presence on away missions, often sensing shifts in atmosphere, wildlife patterns, or team morale before anyone else. Her ability to stay honest and grounded made her a stabilizing force during tense encounters, and she completed her first two years aboard Calliope with a reputation for calm insight and dependable fieldwork.

Her second assignment brought her to Outpost Selene, a remote research station positioned near several newly contacted species. The outpost’s diverse population gave Mirax the perfect environment to refine her observational strengths. She assisted with interspecies communication studies, environmental adaptation projects, and routine scientific briefings for visiting delegations. Her supervisors quickly noticed her instinctive ability to defuse misunderstandings and read emotional undercurrents, leading to her promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade during her second year at the outpost. Mirax’s presence became essential to maintaining smooth cooperation among the station’s rotating personnel.

Mirax’s third posting placed her aboard the USS Asterion, a vessel known for unpredictable missions into developing regions. Here, her blend of intuition, discipline, and emotional transparency became invaluable. She joined hazard‑response teams that needed scientists who could make quick assessments under pressure, and her expressive nature helped maintain cohesion during high‑stress operations. Mirax often volunteered for difficult tasks, not out of recklessness, but because she trusted her instincts and wanted to protect her team. Her sensory awareness, once overwhelming at times, became a refined tool she used to notice details others overlooked. She was transferred to USS Astraea due to their imminent return to the Delta Quadrant and all of the new things to learn out there.
