Mission: Into The Delta Triangle
Location: USS Astraea

Shaille stepped up in front of the brig and released the forcefield, offering a slight smile toward Linza. "I'm here to escort you to your temporary quarters, don't worry about your luggage, the concierge will be along shortly to transfer your belongings, though we do recommend you keep all valuables on your person at all times, you never know what petty criminals may be lurking around the corner." Her smile became a smirk as she stepped back to let the other woman out of the holding cell.

Linza raised an eyebrow as she pushed herself up off the bench she'd been sitting on. "What do you mean quarters? I figured I'd be stuck here until someone decided what to do with me." She stepped out of the cell carefully, not sure what was going on.

"Captain's orders," Shaille said with a shrug. "Your friend has been handed over to Kessik security. She was transported down a few hours ago. Captain Laurens arranged for quarters to be secured for you. I believe you're being transported to Earth. After that, I don't know."

Heart sinking, Lin followed Shaille but remained mostly quiet. "I'm in trouble if I get back to Earth...not sure how long I'd be locked up for..."

Shaille remained silent as she walked through the corridor for a moment. "Look, I don't know, but if you're going to have anyone on your side, Captain Laurens is the person you want. If she's taking you all the way back to Earth, it's because she thinks that's the best option." She lapsed into silence again as they continued walking. "You attacked Starfleet officers, that's probably not the best idea you've ever had. And teaming up with that friend of yours?" She shook her head slightly.

"No, I know that. And in the back of my mind, I knew the way that the plan was setup was a bad idea. But yet, I went along with it. It was completely stupid looking back on it." Linza looked back to Shaille, "And I might have taken things from Starfleet when I left on...not so great terms. I've changed since then, though I doubt Starfleet will think of it like that."

"Just wait and see what happens then," Shaille said quietly. "Look, I'll be honest, there are plenty of people on this ship right now who would have preferred to see you handed over to Kessik Security." She paused, rubbing her shoulder slightly, the residual ache from the multiple phaser hits. "The Captain thinks taking you to Earth is preferable. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

Linza took the words to heart. "Honestly, that doesn't surprise me. Considering what I did, no matter how sorry I am for my part in it. The Kessik security would have likely killed me. I think staying alive even if it is locked up at this point is better than that. I know I screwed up, more so than I did when I was in Starfleet."

Arriving at a door, Shaille keyed in an access code and motioned for Linza to enter, stepping through the doors after her.

"It's fairly standard guest quarters, not fancy but definitely better than the brig," Shaille said as she motioned around. "The replicator has been restricted, sorry, Captain's orders. You can't replicate anything that might be considered a weapon or used to harm someone or yourself. You are free to leave, but you'll be restricted in what areas you can go. Basically, you have civilian access. If you run into any problems with getting what you need, let either Operations or Security know."

Looking around the room, Linza gave a small smile. "Honestly, didn't think about anything but food, maybe some strong coffee, and some dessert. You'd be surprised how many places don't have good desserts." She was also glad for the bed. "I won't go wandering where I shouldn't, I know I'm right now on my last chance until we get to Earth."

"Well, you won't have access to the crew mess, but the lounge will be open for you. They have a good menu and there is replicators available as well. Just, be mindful of the alcohol, a lot of what Ashe serves is real. It can knock you on your ass pretty quick if you aren't used to it. You have access to a console," Shaille motioned to the desk in the corner of the living area with a console built in. "But there's no comms at this stage, except within the ship. Outside comms needs to be cleared by the Captain. Anything else you need?"

"I think I'm alright. I might take a chance on that alcohol after a day or so. First, good food from the replicator and then sleeping in an actual bed. Thank you, and thank the captain as well."

Shaille nodded slightly and started toward the door. "I will let her know. I imagine she'll be by sooner or later to see you, once she's finished with the paperwork. Well, enjoy your rest." With one last nod, Shaille turned and walked out the doors.
