Home Sweet Home... Again

Posted on Mon Apr 20th, 2020 @ 1:01pm by Lieutenant JG Shaille Levine & Commander Ichiko Gail & Warrant Officer Koh Ottasu & Warrant Officer Callisi Veera

Mission: Dead Moon
Location: Sickbay

Shaille leaned against the doorway into the room that the three resident Ts'usugi were sharing in sickbay, a smile playing across her lips as her eyes settled on the one in the middle.

As soon as the transport had been completed, Shaille had almost flown off the transporter pad, headed for the door, leaving a rather amused Cam and Carissa behind and a rather perplexed looking transport operator. Her thoughts were entirely with seeing Koh and making sure he was okay.

"You're looking much better," she said with a smile as she pushed herself off the doorway and crossed the room so she could sit carefully on the side of his bed. "Feeling better?"

Koh offered a soft smile, now sitting up rather than laying down. He put a hand over her's and admired her for a moment. "I'm feeling much better. Even more so now." he said, still a big romantic goofball. "I don't know what trouble you got into, but I hope it all worked out in the end. And I'm glad you're safe."

Shaille smiled vaguely. "I haven't been to security or to see the Captain yet, I figure they'll call for me once they've put everything together. No point putting my head on the chopping block too soon." She smiled, turning her hand upside down so her fingers could interlace with his. "I'm glad you're feeling better. I think I heard them saying you should be out of here shortly, now that everything is over?"

"Hopefully sooner than later. Laying here doing nothing, I think I feel my ears wilting." he smiled, holding her hand tight. "Though, while I get the reference about chopping blocks, I think it might do more good if you're the one that makes the first move." he offered. "Back in the navy, waiting to get called in to talk was never a good idea. Mostly because the first question the shipmaster would ask is why it took you so long to come to them."

"Though, if you want some backup when you go there, I'll be right behind you." he offered with a smirk.

"You're sweet," Shaille said softly as she pulled his hand up to her cheek. "The last thing I want is to give the Captain the idea that you somehow put me up to it." She shook her head. "I was already in trouble before this, better to keep the fallout as limited as possible."

"I have to at least offer to help." he started, "If you're putting everything on the line for us, the very least I can do is match that effort, or at least try." he explained with a soft smile as he gently brushed her cheek with his hand. "Besides, I doubt they'd think that I could put you up to anything you didn't already put yourself up to already." he snickered, but kept his smile.

"Are you saying I'm a troublemaker?" Shaille asked, feigning insult as she pulled away enough to look at him, wide eyes in a pointless attempt to appear innocent.

"Oh I could never." now it was Koh's turn to feign innocence. "I would never. Not until I buy the quadrant's most comfortable couch." he chuckled, then took a breath to relax, "It's really good to see you again. I... I missed you. The feel of you. I'll always have the Idea of you, the Memory of you, just.." he gave a soft smile, "I missed you. I missed Us."

"Good," Shaille said with a teasing grin as she climbed onto the bed carefully and lay down next to him, her head against his shoulder. "Just remember that next time you think about getting rid of me," she teased lightly as she pulled his arm around her. "I was thinking about shore leave," she said quietly. "When we came back the transporter operator said we were heading back to Earth. We could go spend some time planetside?"

"Earth? Like, your home, Earth?" he was impressed. "I ... wow." he was at a loss for words for a moment. "I've seen pictures of your Earth, and her moon. Beautiful, both of them."

He snuggled up to her, moving so that she had as much a share of this tiny medical bed as he could spare. "Getting rid of you? Never. You're stuck with me for the long run." he said gently, leaning in to rest his forehead against hers as best he could, given the angle. "You're the expert on Earth, though there's one place I'd like to at least see. I .. I heard it's dead, but suits will do just as well." a pause, "I'd like to visit your moon. Moons are important to us, and so I'd like to visit the moon of the world that allowed the woman I love into this world."

"When you say sweet things like that how could I possibly say no? Of course we can go to the Moon," Shaille's voice became a hushed whisper as she spoke. "There's somewhere else I want to take you too, that is if you want to? But I want to keep it a surprise."

"Well, father always did say that the key to a woman's heart is poetry." he smirked, "But of course I'll travel with you. The biggest adventure I've ever set out on began that day under high security alert." he recalled, perhaps none too fondly, the day they met. Well, she was the highlight of that day, no doubt.

Shaille closed her eyes and snuggled into him. "Seems like another lifetime now," she said with a smile. "But I wouldn't change a moment of it, not for anything."

"It really does. Like, part of a dream." he gave her a smirk, "Then I wake from that dream, and there you are. Lovely as ever, laying with *most* of the covers, and gently snoring." he smirked, "I'm teasing. Believe me, you can have those covers. I'll just keep the sheets."

He was silent for just a moment, "Don't worry, you don't snore." a pause, "Loud."
